The Story of Gamcha Series

The gamcha has always been there.

It belongs to the everyday rhythm of Bangladesh — carried over the shoulder, used to wipe away sweat, taken to work, passed from one generation to the next. It is humble, durable, colourful, and almost always useful. Yet because it is so familiar, we rarely stop to see it for what it is.

At Jadughor, we wondered: what if we wore that familiarity with pride?

The Gamcha Series takes real gamcha and transforms it into ties — bringing an everyday fabric into a world of tailoring, design, and formal wear. Each gamcha can produce only a few ties, and its stripes and colours naturally vary, making every piece unique.

This is our first attempt at turning an overlooked piece of everyday life into something worth noticing, wearing, and keeping.
